FaveLingo (the "App") respects your privacy and handles personal and usage information appropriately. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains what information the App collects and how it is handled.

By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects the following information to provide its service.

  • Account information: an authentication ID and similar identifiers used to recognize you.
  • Learning data: your target language, difficulty level, interest tags, generated listening exercises and audio, and your answer and study history.
  • Purchase information: your point purchases and subscription status. Payments are processed by the App Store / Google Play; we do not store payment details such as credit card numbers.
  • Usage and device information: device type, OS version, how you use the App, and crash or error reports.
  • Advertising information: advertising identifiers used for ad delivery and measurement.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes.

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the App.
  • To generate listening exercises and audio tailored to your interests and level.
  • To save your study history and provide the review feature.
  • To manage purchases and subscriptions and to credit points.
  • To analyze issues, prevent abuse, and ensure security.
  • To deliver advertising and measure its effectiveness.

3. AI Processing

The App uses AI to generate listening exercises and audio based on information you provide, such as your interests and topics. To do so, the information you enter may be sent to third-party AI and audio-generation services that we use.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your information to third parties except as required by law. To operate the service, we use external services and may entrust the handling of information to them, to the extent necessary, for the following purposes.

  • Authentication and cloud infrastructure.
  • AI content and audio generation.
  • Usage analytics and error detection.
  • Ad delivery and measurement.
  • Payment processing by the App Store / Google Play.

5. Advertising

The App may display ads using third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). These services may use advertising identifiers and similar information to optimize and measure ads. You can limit personalized advertising through your device's OS settings (e.g., resetting your advertising ID or opting out).

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, or for the period required by law, and we appropriately delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your account from the settings screen in the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, learning data, and generated listening audio. This action cannot be undone.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not primarily intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.

9. Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the information we collect against leakage, loss, or damage. However, we cannot guarantee complete security for transmission or storage over the Internet.

10. International Data Transfers

Depending on the location of the services we use, your information may be processed and stored in countries or regions other than your country of residence.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as needed. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the App or on our website. If you continue to use the App after changes take effect, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Policy.
